EASTER GOODBYE


HELLO GUYS!!! How are you all?

Have you realized Easter is almost here?


Before we exchange our Easter wishes,I'd like to send you the KEY

 to

SONNET 18 POEM ANALYSIS


1.The poem is about the inevitable decay (=αναπόφευκτη φθορά) of time and the immortalization (=απαθανάτιση) of love and beauty in poetry.
2. It is addressed to a beloved friend of the poet who is believed to be a noble man.
3. It’s written in 3 quatrains (=τετράστιχα) and a couplet (=δίστιχο).
4. Τhe first metaphor he creates is between the summer and his beloved.
5. He implies that the beauty of summer is not everlasting. “rough winds do shake the buds of May.”
6. He refers to the sun.
7. The eternal lines refer to poetry.
8. It means that as long as people live and read this poem, the beloved to whom it refers will live on forever.
